Wish I could leave a good review. Came to Visit family all the way from CA and was looking forward to trying this place at my daughter's recommendation. Walked in the door and they had shut down breakfast 30 minutes early. Don't know how the food is but the reliability is terrible. Won't go back.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! I went here with high hopes that were quickly crushed as soon as I walked in the door. The whole place is dirty and unclean. Since I have not been here before I stood there about 10 minutes without a single person even acknowledging that I was there before I asked for a menu and whether or not I sit on my own. I got a snotty reply from a cashier that said "sit anywhere and we will come by clean the table in a while". After another 10 minutes of sitting at a dirty table I asked again for a menu and was told that they only have 4 and I that I would have to ask around to try to find them because she was too busy to help. Descent food might be enough to overcome the dirty atmosphere for some people but it does not out weigh rude employees and poor customer service. I walked out, will never be back and will always recommend to other people to not waste their time. There are too many other good places around here to eat where they appreciate patrons!!

Was told by several people that we HAVE to eat here at least once on our vacation. They were right! The burgers are great and on Fridays they have crab cakes that are out of this world. This is a must for anyone staying on the island!

This gas station turned restaurant has a great home town feel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is as wonderful as it looks. The sausage links are spicy and full of flavor. My husband and I make this restaurant a top stop on our visit to Fernandina Beach every year and the food never disappoints us! And T-Ray is the man who actually cooks the food!

  • Brian K.

I have to agree with the reviews on the fried shrimp. They may be the best I've ever had. The fried green tomatoes rank up there as well. We had burgers, fried fish, and the aforementioned. All was delicious, fresh, cooked to perfection. It's a shame that a restaurant like Sandy Bottoms has so much better of a location when a restaurant like T-Rays is tucked away downtown. The service was also excellent.

  • Linda J.

My son and I had bacon cheeseburgers with fries and onion rings. Everything about this meal was 5-star, except for one thing that actually ruined the meal for me: the hamburger meat is laced with spices that left an unpleasant aftertaste. For myself, i'd give 3 stars, and I won't be going back. But I recognize that some people actually like flavored meat, so I think on average, other people would rate this 4 stars.

  • Ashley M.

The BEST BREAKFAST on the Island!! The BEST HAMBURGER on the island!! The BEST FRIED SHRIMP on the island!! All in an old gas station downtown. The idea has been copied but T Rays can not duplicated. It is a MUST.

First impressions when we walked in the door was that it was extremely dirty. Every empty table was dirty and the garbage receptacle was literally overflowing out onto the floor. Wish I had gotten a picture of it. However, after driving 4+ hours we didn't want to keep driving to find another place to eat, besides the reviews were pretty good. Three of us ordered burgers, one turkey bacon Swiss sandwich, and a grilled cheese sandwich. One burger came without the cheese which you pay extra for and the turkey sandwich didn't have the bacon. The food was less than mediocre! Disappointing. Less than average, dirty, barely edible food.

  • Steve D.

Great 1/2 lb burger, but it was a little too messy for my wife. Onion rings were good too. Service was good and food came out quick and hot. Fries were okay, but I am not a big fan of steak fries. Drinks were serve yourself. I will be back.

  • Bill T.

Yeah, a burger joint in an old gas station, what do you expect? Well prepare to get your mind blown. This is easily the best burger within any reasonable driving distance. The place is small, and when it's busy, expect to wait quite some time for your food. When it arrives, you're going to enjoy how hot and fresh it is. Parking is a serious pain though. Hours aren't the best either.

    (5)
  • Debra H.

***OVERRATED and UNDERWHELMED*** I heard it was a good burger joint. My first impression wasn't a positive one. No one greeted us or even acknowledged us. The place was stuffy and generally unkept and dirty. All of the highchairs were broken. There were no menus available. The grumpy waitress replied "I can't help you" when I asked for one. When I did get one it was disgustingly sticky, bent up and nasty with dried food (I hope) or some other substance I would rather not know about. The place was so uncomfortable and dirty and the staff was downright rude and not even a little bit welcoming. The food must be awesome to be able to overlook everything that isn't. I couldn't tell you because all 5 of us got up and left. For me, it is never just about the food. I'm sorry if it is too much to ask T-Ray to provide a friendly and clean atmosphere as well. I guess he just thinks that is too much to ask because when we started to tell him about our issues he just turned his back and walked away from us. NICE! No wonder the staff sucks when the owner doesn't care. We will never go back.

T-rays has very good service and the prices were really low. The bacon was nice and crispy and the sausage tasted homemade(but it did seem a little spicy). The pancakes were personally my favorite, they were light and fluffy and tasted really good.On the contrary the water taste like it came out of the ocean and me, my sister and father wanted biscuits and gravy but they only had two left. I mean what restaurant runs out of food? Anyway I have tasted better biscuits and gravy at Omega Coney Island in Matthews North Carolina( I defiantly recommend that place if your ever in the area). The place looked very nice( in an old fashion way) even though it used to be a gas station. In conclusion i would recommend people to go to T-rays but get there early so they don't run out of food.

We went here on a Friday for lunch and they had a good crowd. It's an order at the counter & find your seat setup with a diner-esque atmosphere. It is literally a forme gas station. The fried shrimp appeared very popular but we had a burger and a chicken salad. The burger was kind of greasy but that sort of went with the whole thing. Both were quite good. It's a good spot for a casual meal after a day at the beach!

  • Alexandra M.

I don't live on the Island anymore, but when I did, I was a regular here at T-Rays. Best breakfast sandwiches on the island, hands down. One of the best burgers I've had period, plus I love the onion rings as well. Anytime I make it down here to visit my folks, I make sure to pass by. Not to be missed by locals and visitors alike!

  • Eduardo W.

I think this place is overrated. It's an average diner with average food. This used to be a gas station and the owners decided to remodel as little as possible, so although the décor preserved the looks, it feels kind of messy. I had Trey's Favorite (2 pancakes, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 eggs... and nothing special). On my way back home, I stopped at Beach Diner and I had a more pleasant experience overall.

    (3)
  • Sabina M.

Fun atmosphere. Generous portions. Reasonable price. Would definitely head back here again. The grits were thick, had a great cheesy flavor, and went well with two eggs over easy and a huge, flaky, moist biscuit. My husband enjoyed his French toast though the ham was his favorite.

  • Jim C.

This is the best local experience in Fernandina Beach. Hamburgers are delicious. Check the daily specials. The locals flock here. Wednesday is fried chicken and Friday is shrimp!

    (5)
  • Andy P.

Best fried shrimp and hush puppies ever! Definitely a must have hen in Fernandina. Large servings made to order and worth the wait.

Just finished my shrimp meal 5 min ago. I don't write many reviews. This was the best shrimp I've ever had!!!!!!

If you want to get awesome, go get some T-Rays! They are unbeatable for breakfast and things just get better when lunch rolls around. Go and give them a try.

Best food you will ever get from what used to be an old gas station.

Best biscuits! So delicious! Staff AND patrons are so nice! Only open for breakfast and lunch. It's a fun time.

Had the breakfast and it was great. The eggs are fresh, the grits are amazing and the biscuits are to die for.

  • Rebecca P.

GO FOR SHRIMP PLATE ON FRIDAY. It was so fresh, perfectly cooked, breaded and fresh. Get extra hush puppies. I didn't love the crab cake, it was just OK but maybe because the shrimp was so outstanding. Sit outside on the patio and enjoy your food. This place was hard to find, not a big sign. Look for the old Exxon station on the right as you're headed toward the beach. Don't miss this place

    (5)
  • Matt H.

Great little lunch spot in old gas station. This is definitely a locals spot, relaxed, and very popular at lunch. Food is always hot and delicious. Burgers are really good and so is the fried shrimp plate. Hard to get a table sometimes so grab one as soon as you walk up while your friend orders your food. This is one of our favorite spots when visiting Amelia Island.

    (4)
  • Kitty H.

The burgers were very good, the kids enjoyed their grilled cheeses, the fries were good, hush puppies meh. Not sure what all the fuss is about- it was good, but not outstanding.

    (4)
  • Alex H.

We had the 'Big and Little T' cheeseburgers - best burgers we have had at a restaurant in a long time - just like home made. Bring your appetite for the 'Big T'!

  • Heather P.

I've never really been to a Mom&Pop/Dive place before T-Rays and I was a little skeptic of going to a place out of an old gas station, but boy was I wrong! This isn't your typical "fast food" joint, but it's worth a little longer wait when it's packed. I've had their burgers and shrimp, but really want to try out their breakfast now.

    (5)
  • Ernie M.

My initial rating stands---5 stars or more. You can't believe the burgers!! The best ever!! BUT, don't neglect the possibility of ordering the fried shrimp. Fresh off the Fernandina Beach shrimp boats and very lightly breaded they have to be the best in the world. How do you decide if you should have the burger or the shrimp---have both!! They have remodeled a bit, but it still has that casual, comfortable feeling. The service is outstanding and the owners are friendly.

    (5)
  • Kaneil Smith S.

Yes It is the repurposed Gas station. The burger is pretty good. Friendly staff. Been there 3 times all good experiences.

    (4)
  • Magnus H.

So, here's the deal. This place is a fustercluckery of disorganization and having to move your chair or squeeze past people to get a bottle of ketchup or an extra knife and fork. It's an old gas station. The chairs don't match, it's all kind of chaotic. Once you get past this realization though, it's pretty darn good. The breakfast is no joke. I had the bacon egg and cheese biscuit and it was as good as any i've ever had and I live in the south. I've heard good things about the burgers. Go.

    (4)
  • James W.

For a great local experience, get the burger or breakfast. Both are top notch home cook feel food.

    (5)
  • Emily V.

This was a serious, quality burger. Sure, it's in a renovated gas station. Actually, I've eaten a lot of great sandwiches in gas stations. There's a lot of kitshy ambience here. Totally a local place. The owner was walking around shaking hands, delivering food and making jokes while we eating. A local politician came in and did the same but I think the owner was more popular. Really good, bare bones, burgers. My dad got the fried shrimp place, and though it was good, the Crab Trap's version, which we had had a few days earlier was better. Oh, and the steak fries here were perfectly cooked. Definitely worth checking out, whether you're a local or a tourist. Though there's no sign, you'll know it by the giant burger above the door.

    (5)
  • Upfront B.

We went there for lunch - great burgers and the shrimp were amazing! Just go already The menu is available online - bring cash it is quicker

Incredible place to have a small town home style cooked meal. The burgers were amazing piled high on the hog with bacon. Loaded means just that. Food was very tasty and staff was super friendly

  • MaryAlice R.

Went here for the first time this week after hearing good things. Got the little burger combo, and the owner served it to me, so right there is a plus. I have had better, but not in Florida. It was juicy and the perfect size. I would recommend going a little later in the afternoon so it is not so busy.

  • Melissa R.

I've learned from past experience that if there's a line out the door and you have to clean your own table off, the food must be worth it. Such is the case with T-Rays. The fried shrimp is amazing! The fries were just so-so, but the coleslaw and the hush puppies more than made up for that. The kiddo's chix tenders were really good as well! Bottom line? If you are eating healthy, this isn't your place. If the thought of large crowds and cleaning off your own table makes you cringe, avoid eating here. If you are looking for GOOD FOOD...this is a must!!!

  • Jessica G.

Ate here for the first time today after the Mr. raved about their biscuits. I had the lunch special, chicken and dumplings and wasn't disappointed. There was hard boiled egg in the dish which was something I'd never seen in C&D before and it was kind of weird so I ate around it, but the dumplings were very good and the dish overall was good. It also came with a large biscuit which is definitely one of the best I've ever eaten, so light and fluffy! The Mr. had a cheeseburger and it too was really tasty. We'll definitely go back, we want to check out their Wed lunch special of fried chicken :)

  • Lynn K.

One of the best burgers I have had in a while. Really enjoyed the whole experience from the gas pumps outside to the crazy combinations of tables and chairs inside and outside. The owner was there and walking around and chatting with everyone. The girl taking our order was pleasant and helpful. We got there later in the afternoon but there was still a crowd and a line but be patience it moves fast and is well worth it. The burger was cooked to perfection and the fries were hot and delicious. The combos are reasonably priced as are all the items on the menu. You get plenty of food there and won't walk away hungry! They also have daily specials but when BURGER is in the name of the establishment ordering a burger is the way to go if you are only in town for a visit.

  • Chelsea S.

This is a on the border of three and four star review. The burgers were fresh and lived up to the hype, mine was way over seasoned. Fries were good, onion rimgs were good, the atmosphere was cute and it was a good experience with the staff.

    (4)
  • Chan V.

The Big T burger with thick cut bacon was pretty big and tasty. You pick what you want on the burger. A combo comes with thick cut fries and a huge cup for drinks. I came on a Thursday so I got the daily special which was the chicken and dumpling plate for my 6 year old nephew. He is a picky eater but loved the chicken and dumpling. It was served with a huge biscuit. So the place is kid approved. Oh, beware of the GA Bulldogs memorabilia if you are a GA Tech fan.

Some of the best fried shrimp I've ever had -- and THE best breakfast on Amelia Island.

Good food got the western omelet with bacon, also the hash browns very good. The restaurant is a old gas station. You order your food and pay they call ur name they bring the food over. Self service for drinks and clean it up your self. But the food is good, Good pic.

  • Stephie Z.

No sign up, just a run down gas station on the corner with a parking lot filled with trucks and sedans. There are a few tables outside and plenty of tables packed into the small interior. The breakfast is cheap, delicious, and fast. The biscuits are pretty close to great. If you dig waffle house's crispy hashbrowns, avoid TJs version. I got nuthin' else for ya.

  • Mary W.

Headed here for lunch on our last day on the island, at the recommendation of the guys over at Atlantic Seafood, who source the place. We were not disappointed! Great softshell crab sandwich, and amazing mahi as well. More than just a burger shack for sure. The place is in an old converted gas station, and definitely popular with the locals. Great to get off the centre street strip and get some real down-home food!

    (4)
  • Jim R.

Looked forward to lunch on our last day. Shrimp were excellent, but the burger was dry and overcooked. Huge disappointment after reading all the rave reviews.

  • Myobu S.

One of my favorite places to eat on the island. For Breakfast, I like the biscuits and gravy with hot links...so good, but not diet food! Lunch, get the burger (rated the best in FL and one of the best in the US by many reviews) or on Friday, get the shrimp. Mmmmmm.

    (4)
  • Anthony T.

Absolutely famous for their burgers.Big Ray and T-Ray Mullis run an incredible operation.USA Today nominated them as the best burger in Florida. Breakfast is super including biscuits & gravy.

I've never given no stars before and I guess the site won't let me. But I would if I could. Can't imagine what everybody finds so attractive about this place. It is dirty, smells badly of grease, the fries were ok but the burger was adulterated with a bunch of onion or garlic powder or something else unidentifiable. To top it all off it is SLOW. Lots of better places on the Island for a burger. Even Applebee's is better than this...!

    (1)
  • S And B D.

Well it's all true. This place is one of kind, as is the man (or men, it's actually two generations of Rays - Ray who is the original proprietor, and his son T-Ray who was the man behind the grill cooking up a storm to a packed house of loyal customers on a hot Monday at noon. And like everyone said, the burgers and fries are great, but we're giving it a 5 cause it's good people and a ton of fun.

  • Judy C.

Love, love, love this place! We were on vacation and went here based on yelp reviews. We enjoy going to "local" restaurants and all the locals recommend this place. First of all, if you only want to dine at fancy, organized, cookie-cutter places...don't go here. T-Rays would be perfect for "Diners, DriveIns, and Dives". To all the reviewers who say it is dirty, cluttered does not mean dirty! We went for lunch. 2 kids got burgers and raved about them. I kid got the tuna sandwich and just half of it filled him up. My husband got some sort of blackened fish sandwich that was on the specials board for the day, and loved it. I had the most divine fried green tomato BLT...honestly until the day I die, I will be craving this sandwich again. The side of broccoli salad was surprising good; I'm going to try to duplicate it at home, but doubt it will taste as good without the ambiance. We went back another day to try breakfast, and of course it was great. Very filling! Huge homemade cinnamon rolls and biscuits. I don't remember what everyone ordered, those cinnamon rolls and biscuits are stuck in my brain. I ordered a hash brown dish that comes with homemade hash browns and you pick 3 toppings...I added eggs, onions, and sausage. Delish! Owners and workers are as nice as can be, they even offered to loan us fishing equipment when we mentioned that we were thinking about going.

Awesome locals place thats a former gas station. Can't miss breakfast for $5 with the best grits around. Daily specials are the real deal and fried shrimp & crab cakes is a no brainer. Check them out on Facebook and friend them, they post daily specials on there. If you get lucky enough to show up on a day with BBQ pork order it, you'll thank me. Oh, and ask for your biscuit grilled, trust me. Make sure you say hi to Ray and don't forget to drop a couple bucks in the tip jar for Ally and Tina. For first timers, don't let the looks fool you, it's a diamond in the rough, order at the counter, food comes to the table, bus your own plates.

Old gas station that has some of the best fried shrimp I have ever had! Known for their hamburgers too. You will be glad you stopped at this place!

We went back to T-Rays, before we had to go home. And, we weren't disappointed. If you are visiting Amelia Island and want a GREAT burger, go to T-Rays. You won't be disappointed by the food or the service. On a personal note, thank you to the ownership. My kids really appreciated you taking a picture with them. My wife appreciated your concern about her not feeling well the other day. And, I think its great that you take the time to really meet your customers

We arrrived on Amelia Island 2/09/12 and found T-Rays' the first day (using Yelp) and we were so impressed with the fried shrimp we have gone back a few more times for breakfast and lunch. The staff makes us feel like regulars, this place is a gem. There are no signs for T-Rays but its worth the hunt to find it.

  • N M.

The food was just alright, and it was extremely simple. Few local ingredients, out of date hot sauce, and generally a very dirty vibe. I'm not sure how they pass musters with inspectors here - it is not for the clean freaks among us. Total chaos for ordering, dining, waiting. Perfect if you like a busy southern bar atmosphere during the day, complete with people spilling stuff everywhere, craziness, etc - which some members of our party did not enjoy.

    (2)
  • Jennifer J.

Found this place using Yelp....who knew we were staying one block away at The Williams House. Went for lunch and I have to say both the food and staff were excellent. Worth the trip, you won't be disappointed!

  • Rj M.

This place should be on "Triple D"! Great local 'dive' with awesome hamburgers, freshly peeled fried ship, homemade onion rings and local southern dishes like chicken and dumplings. It's in an old gas station, no sign, on corner of 8th and Beech. Open for breakfast and lunch. This is our "go to" lunch joint when we visit Amelia Island. Don't miss it and maybe we'll see it on Triple D one day.

  • Debbie B.

We ate here once when we moved into town, bc it was recommended. The food was good, but I couldn't get passed all the dust and grime due to it being an old gas station. So we never went back. However, I kept hearing and reading about the burgers, so today we gave it another try. To our surprise, the restaurant had been cleaned and renovated!! Wonderful!! We each had the burgers and fries, and they really were GREAT burgers, and the steak fries were yummy too!! So glad we gave it another try.....we will be back again to try some more things on the menu......country fried steak maybe? Yummmm.........

  • Dana H.

My family and I have been vacationing in Fernandina for years but this is the first time I ever went to T-Rays. It was definitely one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. I ordered the western omelet (amazing) with grits and a side of hash browns. The hash browns were probably the best I've ever had. They were crispy and wonderful. I will definitely try to go more often when I'm in town. Everything is really affordable and considering the locals come here, you know it's good.

  • Jay T.

I asked for a traditional country breakfast and T-rays was the response. I was so sad to learn they serve it to only 10:30am. I arrived at 10:40am. Boo! But I was determined to eat in this former gas station before I left for my yankee dwellings. I was thrilled to taste homemade biscuits the size of a softball - warm flaky goodness. I had my first grits experience here and it was tasty, especially with cheddar cheese. Good cheap eats! I also heard their burgers are the best. Can't wait to return and try the burgers.

  • Dottie B.

I'm pretty sure this place is a secret. You may have passed by this former gas station, thinking all the parked cars there were due to the fancy Beech St. Grill across the street. I love informing you that this is just not so. T-Ray's burger joint is a favorite of locals, and transplants after their friends trust them enough to let them in on it. The interior has not been changed since it really was a gas station: the pumps are long gone, but you can still buy lottery tickets inside. The restaurant's supplies are still stored in the drink cooler, alongside where the tables are all now situated. Don't get scared. You'll think it's pretty wonderful when you see it. The fare can be as simple as you feel: grits, eggs, and biscuits in the morning, the best grilled burgers for lunch with all the fixings; but, they also serve great healthy salads with grilled tuna--the prices are appropriate for both sides of the spectrum. T-Ray's knows where they do business. The place is always jumping with customers, the tables are always filled, but the dining time is short. You're sure to be in and out quickly. Don't worry if there's not a table or counter space when you walk in. Something will open up. T-Ray himself will walk by your table, ask how your food is, and call you honey. You'll feel like a regular on your first trip.

  • D Y.

Bulldogs! Yes, yes, all of you Georgia Bulldog fans would love the eclectic decor of the many Bulldogs in the joint. This place is like the others have described it -- look for an EXXON station with its gas tanks and signs still intact. There is no more gas here, according to Big T himself. He said they've been in the same place on the same corner for over 41 years. Guess when they ran out of gas, they decided to serve burgers~~which was 12 years ago. The interior is tacky like your country cousin's fishing shack out in the holler (almost) with its mismatched table and chairs indoors and out. There is also a counter whereby one can sit and chat and watch the fries being dropped. So don't expect anything fancy! Try the SCRAMBLER Breakfast special: which is a large open-faced biscuit topped with scrambled eggs, 2 types of sausage (we think it was a hot link and andouille), white gravy and cheese. Big T served it to us himself on Bulldog plates. Dottie is right! You can still buy lottery tickets here. The next time we try T-Rays, it will be for burgers since they were voted (several times) Best of Jax 01, 03 and 04.

This place is great. A local joint in which the owner knows everyone. He comes out and talks to all of the customers. The mahi mahi salad was terrific. Look for the closed down Exxon as there are no signs for the restaurant.

    (5)
  • Chris W.

You'll probably pass T-Rays three or four or twenty times before you find it. Occupying an old Exxon service station, T-Rays sports no signs advertising its existence. Just good ol' word of mouth (and now Yelp) advertising. Lots of locals here as well - all seem to know T-Ray (yes, he owns the joint and is a fixture there). Eclectic decor - lots of Georgia Bulldog memorabilia there - but don't get discouraged Gator fans - lots of UF stuff as well. We tried the "little T-Ray" burger - 1/4 lb. of juicy happiness served on a toasted bun with griddled onions and all the fixins'. (As an aside - I was wearing my Gator hat and wouldn't you know? My burger was served on a Gator plate. Almost destiny...) The combo comes with big steak fries perfect for dipping in ketchup. My wife even had some bread pudding that was homemade from things they just stuck together - she thinks it was the best bread pudding that she's ever had. Make sure to make T-Rays a stop one day for lunch.

A local treasure... Some things are Definitely better than others. For example... the sausage at breakfast is no good, but most other stuff is great. Open for lunch... their burger is famous.

Have you ever eaten breakfast or lunch in a gas station. This is the best kept secret on the island. The line waiting to be served is the best review you can get. You truly eat inside the gas station. Breakfast has the best home made biscuits anywhere. Lunch on burgers or fried shrimp. Just don't expect tablecloths.

Great 1/2 lb burger, but it was a little too messy for my wife. Onion rings were good too. Service was good and food came out quick and hot. Fries were okay, but I am not a big fan of steak fries. Drinks were serve yourself. I will be back.

Good food got the western omelet with bacon, also the hash browns very good. The restaurant is a old gas station. You order your food and pay they call ur name they bring the food over. Self service for drinks and clean it up your self. But the food is good, Good pic.

Best fried shrimp and hush puppies ever! Definitely a must have hen in Fernandina. Large servings made to order and worth the wait.

Wish I could leave a good review. Came to Visit family all the way from CA and was looking forward to trying this place at my daughter's recommendation. Walked in the door and they had shut down breakfast 30 minutes early. Don't know how the food is but the reliability is terrible. Won't go back.

The BEST BREAKFAST on the Island!! The BEST HAMBURGER on the island!! The BEST FRIED SHRIMP on the island!! All in an old gas station downtown. The idea has been copied but T Rays can not duplicated. It is a MUST.

    (5)
  • Sabina M.

Fun atmosphere. Generous portions. Reasonable price. Would definitely head back here again. The grits were thick, had a great cheesy flavor, and went well with two eggs over easy and a huge, flaky, moist biscuit. My husband enjoyed his French toast though the ham was his favorite.

  • Chelsea S.

This is a on the border of three and four star review. The burgers were fresh and lived up to the hype, mine was way over seasoned. Fries were good, onion rimgs were good, the atmosphere was cute and it was a good experience with the staff.

This is the best local experience in Fernandina Beach. Hamburgers are delicious. Check the daily specials. The locals flock here. Wednesday is fried chicken and Friday is shrimp!

    (5)
  • Billy R.

Was told by several people that we HAVE to eat here at least once on our vacation. They were right! The burgers are great and on Fridays they have crab cakes that are out of this world. This is a must for anyone staying on the island!

    (5)

    (4)

Go.

One of my favorite places to eat on the island. For Breakfast, I like the biscuits and gravy with hot links...so good, but not diet food! Lunch, get the burger (rated the best in FL and one of the best in the US by many reviews) or on Friday, get the shrimp. Mmmmmm.

    (4)

    (5)

    (5)

    (5)

  • Kitty H.

The burgers were very good, the kids enjoyed their grilled cheeses, the fries were good, hush puppies meh. Not sure what all the fuss is about- it was good, but not outstanding.

We had the 'Big and Little T' cheeseburgers - best burgers we have had at a restaurant in a long time - just like home made. Bring your appetite for the 'Big T'!

Yes It is the repurposed Gas station. The burger is pretty good. Friendly staff. Been there 3 times all good experiences.

Incredible place to have a small town home style cooked meal. The burgers were amazing piled high on the hog with bacon. Loaded means just that. Food was very tasty and staff was super friendly

Found this place using Yelp....who knew we were staying one block away at The Williams House. Went for lunch and I have to say both the food and staff were excellent. Worth the trip, you won't be disappointed!
